Brave, the cryptocurrency-based web browser on both desktop and mobile, has seen its monthly active users pass over the 15 million mark, according to a blog post from the group.
As of now, the platform has 15.4 million users. This is up 50% from the Brave 1.0 launch in November, and over a one-hundred percent growth in the past year. Daily users also went up, hitting 5.3 million – a significant increase from the 2 million daily users last year.
On top of this, the post notes that Brave’s Ads have worked with 1,530 campaigns since the 1.0 launch, with companies including but not limited to Verizon, Chipotle, PayPal, and Newegg. Now, these ads are supported in 183 countries so users can earn while browsing.
“With a CTR (click-through rate) of 9% (90-day platform average), Brave Ads continue to excel, compared to the 2% industry average. Certain brands are seeing up to 15% CTR. With over 1 billion ad confirmation events to date, Brave Ads have seen a 930% increase from the 97 million ad confirmation events reported in October 2019,” the post notes.
On top of this, creators who have opted into Brave’s Verified program have hit around 700,000 across all video platforms from Twitch to Twitter to YouTube and more. As InsideBitcoins has previously reported on, the Brave CEO has noted that not many users take advantage of the cryptocurrency side of things on Brave Browser.
