Decentralized finance (DeFi) has already taken the crypto industry by storm, and now the market has set its sights on the big time.
Jason Choi, head of research at Spartan Capital, asked his followers on Twitter who from the DeFi space should go on the Joe Rogan podcast — if given the chance. There was no shortage of suggestions, which included names like YFI creator Andre Cronje , Richard Heart from Hex.com, and of course the infamous Chef Nomi, who founded SushiSwap before selling out, exiting and returning to the project in less than a week.

Joe No Stranger to Crypto
Rogan, the host of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, is no stranger to crypto. It was him who asked Jack Dorsey about crypto on his show, in response to which the Twitter and Square CEO said that the internet will have a native currency and he believes it will be bitcoin.
Over the summer, Rogan touted the Cash App in an ad on his podcast, saying that it was the “best way to buy bitcoin.” He talked to his monthly audience of more than 200 million, according to estimates, about “stacking stats” and making automatic purchases of the biggest cryptocurrency, gushing over its decentralized nature and saying,
I wish it was the way we exchanged currency. And maybe it will be in the future. Get on board.
The Apocalypse and Bitcoin
Even more recently, on Sept. 8, Adam Curry, who Rogan called the Pod-Father, touted bitcoin on Rogan’s podcast, saying,
The Apocalypse is coming and you’re going to need a bitcoin. At least one.
Rogan accused his guest of being a bitcoin salesman, which Curry denied, explaining that he was very anti-bitcoin at one point and sold at $900, a move he clearly regrets now. Curry, however, appears to be a bitcoin maximalist and is not a fan of altcoins, though Rogan seems open to the discussion.

It’s not outside the realm of possibility that Rogan, for whom fear is apparently not a factor, would feature a guest from the sometimes scary DeFi market.
